Data protection information of the University of Applied Sciences for Health Professions Upper Austria for the Use of Microsoft Office 365
When using software packages such as Microsoft 365 or corresponding cloud solutions of Microsoft Corporation, Redmond, WA, USA, https://www.microsoft.com/de-at/microsoft-365 ("Microsoft"), personal or personally identifiable data may arise at various levels.
ATTENTION: Within the scope of this service, data transfer to the USA takes place or cannot be ruled out. We would like to point out that, according to the European Court of Justice, there is currently no adequate level of data protection in the case of data transfer to the USA and that there are therefore various risks (such as possible access by US secret services).
We have concluded a data processing agreement with Microsoft. For the processing of data in the USA, the level of protection is guaranteed by the use of the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission.
Microsoft differentiates in this context between "Customer Data" as all data, including all text, sound, video or image files and software, provided to Microsoft by or on behalf of Customer through use, "Diagnostic Data" that Microsoft collects or receives from software installed locally by Customer in connection with the Online Service (sometimes referred to as Telemetry Data) and "Service Generated Data" that Microsoft generates in the course of operating an Online Service.
The processing of your data is based on your consent pursuant to Art 6 paragraph 1 lit a of the GDPR and the legitimate interest within the meaning of Art 6 parapraph 1 lit f GDPR in conjunction with Art 49 paragraph 1 lit a GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future.
Further information on data protection can be found in the data protection declaration at https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement or under the data protection declaration of the University of Applied Sciences for Health Professions Upper Austria under the data protection information on the use of Microsoft Teams at the University of Applied Sciences for Health Professions Upper Austria.
