“People who read a lot live longer.”
A long-term study conducted by Yale University shows that regular reading may indeed have a positive impact on life expectancy. Curious?
Our campus libraries at the University of Applied Sciences for Health Professions Upper Austria support learning, teaching and research – and may even contribute just a tiny bit to extending our users’ lifespan.
Reading pays off … and science supports that claim.
The campus libraries of the University of Applied Sciences for Health Professions Upper Austria offer a cross-location collection of media, including both print and electronic resources. These include licensed e-journals, e-books, and subject-specific databases, as well as a wide range of electronic open-access resources. Another focus is on the promotion of information literacy. Ongoing training programmes support students and staff with respect to literature research and reference management.
The discovery service (online catalogue) enables cross-campus searching across all electronic resources and print holdings via a central search index.
