How do you become a pediatric intensive care nurse?
Those wanting to specialise in pediatric intensive care after completing a bachelor's degree or diploma in healthcare and nursing can complete the higher education course (job-enabling) in pediatric intensive care at the University of Applied Sciences for Health Professions Upper Austria at the Med Campus V. Linz. The two-semester programme finishes with the title “Academic Expert in Pediatric Intensive Care.” The course focuses on special care in various areas of pediatric intensive care, special medical basics, and related sciences (e.g., medicine, psychology, sociology). Internships enable an optimal transfer of theory into practice.
