Requirements & Admission
Proof of qualification
- in higher civil service for healthcare and nursing care or
- in advanced medical-therapeutic-diagnostic health professions or
- in midwifery
and
- proof of registration in the health professions register or midwifery register
and
- proof of at least two years of relevant professional experience
The course director will assess the applicants' level of qualification. Proof of any outstanding examinations must be provided at the latest during the admission interview or may be arranged individually by the course director. Admission to the course may be subject to certain conditions (supplementary work or examinations). Classes are primarily held in German. Proof of German language proficiency may be required by the course director.
Recognition of proven prior knowledge
The recognition of prior learning for specific courses, which includes formal qualifications beyond the admission requirements (especially those acquired through studies or semesters abroad), is generally possible. The course director decides whether special knowledge or experience can be recognised for a particular course or professional internship. As a rule, proof of creditable knowledge must not be more than five years old. Students can submit an application for recognition of prior knowledge to the course director at the beginning of each semester.
